Jon has been in the financial services industry for over 20 years. Originally a Financial Planner with a large UK Bank, Jon then set up his own Mortgage Brokerage in 1998. In October 2002 this business evolved into The Mortgage Store with his brother Mark.
Jon works closely with the company Network and UK Lenders, and ensures office and sales process systems run efficiently and professionally.
Mark has worked within the Mortgage/Financial sector for the past 26 years. His roles have included Financial Planning for one of the UK’s major banks and various Management roles within the Mortgage Intermediary sector.
He set up The Mortgage Store with his brother Jon in 2002, their objective to offer impartial mortgage advice complimented by a real focus on customer service.
Mark works closely with our New Build Developers ensuring a continued high level of support to meet the demands of this expanding sector.
Paula is the company financial administrator linking the network and advisors. She is also responsible for Human Resources including legal and contractual employment systems.
Mike has over 20 years experience in the financial services industry and has successfully built his client bank on excellent service. This is apparant by the high numbers of recommendations from existing satisfied clients.
Mike specialises in taking first time buyers through the home buying process yet is equally adept with advice on remortgages, buy to let mortgages and can take care of all the insurances and even offers a will writing service!
Robin worked in the Retail and Private Banking market for 15 years before specialising in the Mortgage and Insurance sector. This background has given him a very good appreciation and understanding of clients needs enabling him to provide an exceptional level of service and an approach to problem solving that truly benefits his clients.
Robin is very well respected within the local business community and is able, with his many contacts, to assist in all aspects of residential, investment and commercial mortgage enquiries irrespective of size, location or personal circumstances.
Warren has worked within the Mortgage/Financial sector for the past 25 years. His roles have included running his own Financial Planning Company and working for one of the America’s largest insurance and investment companies. He has worked for various mortgage and financial services companies in the UK, and other countries, building up a vast experience in management roles within the industry.
Warren joined The Mortgage Store as a Business Development Manager helping the company’s advisers manage their business – their objective to offer impartial mortgage advice complimented by a real focus on customer service.
Sam has been a valuable member of the team since 2007. His knowledge of the mortgage market combined with a particular focus on individual customer service has led to a high level of recommendations in the St Albans and surrounding areas. Sam has expanded his knowledge to include the new build sector and has quickly established strong relations with several developers.
Martin has worked in the Financial Services industry for the last 10 years. He started his career working with a general insurance company, before completing his mortgage and protection qualifications in 2006. Martin’s role as an Advisor at The Mortgage Store, in both the new build and second hand sectors, involves providing advice and recommendations on all aspects of mortgage funding and appropriate protection.
Jo has been a core member of the Customer Services team for over 10 years having worked previously for a national chain of Estate Agents within their Customer Retention Division. She has a key role in liasing with lenders and solicitors ensuring a provision of a premier service for our clients.
Catherine has worked in the financial services industry for over 25 years.
She became a fully qualified financial adviser after graduating from university in mathematics and economics, specialising in personal financial planning both on and off shore.
Having decided to now focus her attention on the mortgage market, she has joined us as a Senior Mortgage advisor, using her wide industry knowledge to advise clients on both residential and investment mortgages.
Hayley has recently joined the St Albans team. She has a strong administrative background and has previously worked in the financial industry over a number of years. Her role at The Mortgage Store is supporting the progression for Catherine Houghton and Martin Whalley’s Newbuild mortgages and life assurance cases, ensuring cases are dealt with promptly and efficiently.
Jo has worked in the New Build sector for a number of years. She has built up a strong relationship with developers, lenders and various housing associations. Her role within The Mortgage Store is to co-ordinate and process applications specific to the range of New Build government schemes such as Help To Buy. Jo manages the New Build Support Team in the St Albans office.
Jane has over 20 years experience as a Mortgage Consultant and during that time has developed a loyal client bank countrywide. One of her favourite aspects of the job is seeing her clients grow from anxious first time buyers to seasoned home movers and supporting them through this process each time.
When Simon joined The Mortgage Store he had over 13 years experience from a range of industries predominantly in the property sector. He has a firm understanding of the New Build market, along with the various government schemes in place to assist first time buyers and support them onto the property ladder.
Stuart started his financial service career working within general insurance, before completing his mortgage and protection qualifications in 2006 and has experience working as a mortgage advisor in both Estate Agents and Brockerages. Stuart’s role as an Advisor at The Mortgage Store, in new build, shared ownership and second hand sectors, involves providing advice and recommendations on all aspects of mortgage funding and appropriate protection.
Fiona previously worked in Customer Sevices as a Mortgage Administrator. Having gained valuable experience liaising with clients, mortgage lenders, life providers and solicitors Fiona has very quickly become a valuable member of the team. Fiona gives vital support to Warren on the submission and ongoing processing for his mortgage and life business.
Before joining The Mortgage Store Rebecca worked in an administraton role obtaining an in-depth understanding for managing applications to completion. Rebecca has adapted this experience to assist in her role as Mortgage Adviser and has a wealth of knowledge in the New Build market. Rebecca enjoys managing her time effectively to meet tight deadlines and exceeding both client and introducer expectations.
Andre began his career in Financial Services in 2006. Before joining The Mortgage Store he worked within the UK’s largest estate agency group for 8years, obtaining extensive knowledge and experience.
Andre has continued to work closely with several local estate agents providing Vendor and Buyer mortgage and protection advice. A large part of Andre’s business is received via referrals due to his very professional and honest approach.
Warren has worked within the Financial Services industry for 20 years specialising in mortgage advice for the past 18 years. He works mainly within the Milton Keynes area and over the years has built up many strong relationships with solicitors, surveyors, estate agents and builders in the area. These relationships enable him to work very efficiently to enhance the process for his clients in the purchase of a new home.
Warren is accomplished at maintaining ongoing relationships with clients and is proficient at assisting them with their mortgage and insurance requirements as their circumstances change over the medium to long term.
Before joining the Mortgage Store Andrew worked in the mortgage processing department for one of the UK’s largest banks. This experience gave him invaluable knowledge on fully packaging a mortgage application resulting in a quick and efficient process from start to finish. Andrew works closely with a number of local estate agents providing their buyers with mortgage advice – his main priority providing a professional service for his clients.
Leyla has vast knowledge and experience in Customer Support and has worked with The Mortgage Store for over 10 years offering first-class service for Warren’s clients. She liases with all parties involved in the mortgage process.
James has worked within the Financial Services industry since 2006. His experience is mainly within the new build market and has strong relationships with Bloor Homes, Barratts (Eastern Counties) and Weston Homes. He joined The Mortgage Store in Milton Keynes with a team of advisers that he has developed and managed over a number of years. In addition to his new build experience, James works closely with his existing clients and regularly receives personal recommendations.
Lee’s career began in Financial Services as an Independent Financial Advisor. 25 years later, in 2007, Lee decided to specialise in Mortgage and Protection Consultancy. Committed to providing the best possible advice and service to clients new and old Lee has also worked alongside a number of large developers in the New Build arena. Lee’s office is based in Kettering, Northants with the support of Ellie Patrick.
Viv has recently joined the Milton Keynes team. She has an extensive background in customer service and her role involves liasing with lenders, insurances companies, housing associations and producing weekly reports to builders.
Rob has worked in financial services industry since 2006 specialising in Mortgage Advice & Insurance. Rob is based in Milton Keynes and has built many good relationships with local estate agents, builders, solicitors and surveyors. Rob’s main area of expertise is New Build, Buy To Let and Remortgage options. He prides himself on providing an excellent service to his clients.
David has over 10 years experience in the financial services industry having worked as a broker and directly for Banks and Building societies. He has extensive New Build experience and a solid background working with Estate Agents.
Louise has supported James for a number of years after working with him at a previous employer. She liases with lenders, insurance companies, and housing associations, to ensure that cases are dealt with efficiently.
Jordan joined the Milton Keynes office on an apprenticeship scheme. He is gaining valuable insight and experience of mortgage advising, financial systems and lender criteria. Jordan is also attending college on a regular basis whilst completing his apprenticeship in Business Administration. In the future Jordan is planning to take all necessary qualifications to become a mortgage advisor.
Dean’s career in Financial Services began as an Independent Financial Advisor in 2004. He decided to focus his energy as a Mortgage and Protection consultant several years ago and has never looked back since.
Dean particularly enjoys the fast pace of New Build, helping First Time Buyers through the mortgage and purchase process and thrives on delivering an excellent service to clients. He also receives regular repeat business and referrals from his existing Buy to Let client base.
Donna has just recently joined the St Albans team and has a background of strong administrative, organisational skills and excellent customer service gained whilst working in the hotel industry.
Carl has worked in financial services industry since 2003 specialising in Mortgage Advice & Insurance. He has a solid background in the New Build market and has built many good relationships with a number of local estate agents providing their buyers with mortgage and protection advice. Carl is focused on providing an excellent service to clients new and old.
Charlie has worked within the housing industry for over 5 years in both estate agency and insurance industries, he started his career at one of the largest estate agency groups in the UK dealing mainly in new homes sales.
After 3 years he moved profession to work as an Insurance Broker dealing with Building and Contents cover. This gave him a vast knowledge of the housing market and a great platform to offer best advise on mortgage options.
Mark has worked within the estate agency business since 1985 ranging from small independent business to large corporate companies. Over the last 10 years Mark has specialized in the residential letting side of estate agency. In 2010 Mark joined Mark and Jon Deane who jointly own the Mortgage Store and formed The Letting Store. The ethos of the company is “Run by Landlords for Landlords”.
Lisa joined The Mortgage Store in 2008 from her Administration background in the Financial Services Industry. In August 2012, she diversified to our sister company The Letting Store. Using her valuable experience in customer service, Lisa’s role includes day to day financial management for the Tenants and Landlords. Lisa also assists with the running of the property contractual team. She is enjoying developing her knowledge whilst ensuring the standards of customer service are continued throughout.
